Ilan was born and grew up in Israel. He discovered the magic of the under-water world during the 1960's, a time he spent living in Eilat, Located by the shores of the Red-Sea. Since starting to explore the seas, Ilan has made numerous dives as a dive master and a technical diver. Most of these dives were made in the Red-Sea. In 1996, Ilan was caught by the under-water photography bug. The beginning was by using a simple UW camera, later moving to the legendary Nikonos, through housed Nikon SLR cameras and digital Nikon equipment. Nowadyes ilan is using the NIKON D-300 and the NIKONOS RS film camera. Diving and underwater photography are Ilan's primary pastime. This site is dedicated to the pictures taken during his Red-Sea dives.
